Anxiety is serious and should not be taken lightly.  There are at least 40-50 physical and/or emotional problems that can be traced back to this emotion.  Unlike P.T.S.D. which stems from a traumatic experience in the past, anxiety is typically about the anticipation of something in the future (but not always).  That “something” can be real or imagined.  Either way, it has very real physical and emotional effects on the person experiencing it.  The mind and the body are inseparable; that which effects one will effect the other… always.

COMMON ANXIETY SYMPTOMS INCLUDE:

  • Headaches
  • Neck tension
  • Stomach upset, nervous stomach
  • Pulsing in the ear
  • Heart palpitations
  • Weakness in legs
  • Feeling like you are going crazy
  • Inability to rest
  • Sleep problems
  • Burning skin
  • Fear of impending doom
  • Nausea
  • Shortness of breath
  • Electric shock feeling
  • Shooting pains in the face
  • Numbness and tingling
  • Dizziness
  • Chest pain

To the person experiencing anxiety, the symptoms are very real; not imagined. To make matters worse, they are extremely scary… and for good reasons. Some physical symptoms can actually be medically monitored, such as with heart palpitations. A heart monitor doesn’t make things up; it just records what’s actually going on with the heart. But the sneaky thing about this malady is that the heart is really alright – it’s just reacting to the person’s conscious or subconscious thoughts.

hypnosis for anxiety – DIAGRAM EXPLANATION

The diagram with the arrows above shows how an anxiety sufferer’s thoughts basically get stuck in a vicious, never-ending cycle. It begins with fearful thoughts about some event in the future; an event that may or may not even happen. The thoughts cause strong physical reactions. The physical reactions lead to more fearful thoughts that result in anxiety… which leads to more fearful thoughts and more of the same.

HYPNOSIS FOR ANXIETY – Break the cycle!

The good news is that by using Hypnosis and NLP for anxiety, we can effectively break that cycle.  Although anxiety is in fact very real, it is not difficult to treat.  I don’t really see anxiety as a “disease” or a “disorder”, it’s more the result of a particular way of thinking.  When treating anxiety, I focus more on how you’re thinking rather than what you’re thinking. When we change how you think about something that makes you “anxious”, it changes how you feel, and the anxiety goes away.
